home styling?
One of the services that offered is home styling, which some
people confuse with interior design. Home styling is about
presenting a property as an appealing product to a wide range
of buyers rather than creating a personalised interior. It
is not about spending vast amounts of money on expensive designer
furnishings, but being clever with the client’s budget
and stretching it as far as possible. Tricks of the trade
involve buying furnishings from trade sources and searching
for a bargain on the high street. Also, you could already
have items in your own properties that just need rearranging.

Q: How does
the process work?
Chrysalis Home Styling will arrange with you the best time
to view your property for an initial consultation. A plan
of action is discussed to maximise the appeal of your home,
taking the appearance of your property, target market and
budget into account. We will then provide you with an obligation-free
estimate.

Q: Why use
Chrysalis Home Styling?
Chrysalis Home Styling provides the necessary objectivity
required to assess your property's potential based on decades
of experience updating and renovating properties in the Solent
area. By investing a small amount in highlighting your property's
features and minimising any faults you can increase the buyer
or renters attention to visualise themselves living in your
property.
Q: How much
will it cost?
Services range from £75 for an initial consultation
to £450 for a full day of styling support. Other services
are available at request. If you are serious about significantly
increasing the potential of your property, if has been suggested
by makeover programmes that you look at spending approximately
1% of your property’s asking price to make a significant
difference and gain a substantial return on your investment.

Q: How much
can I expect to see as a return on my initial investment?
We are not able to guarantee an increase to the value of a
property due to current market fluctuations, however more
importantly it is a way to differentiate your property from
the competition!

Q: How long
does it take?
An initial consultation takes 1-2hrs moving up to a one-day
property makeover, through to complete home furnishing and
styling, which could take between 1 and 4 weeks until fully
prepared.

my own home?
Yes, there is a Do-It-Yourself option following on from the
initial consultation.

Q: How does
payment work?
Chrysalis Home Styling requests a payment of 50% of fees along
with the full cost of any goods or materials to be used, before
commencement of the work. Commencement of work does not start
until the payment has been received and with cheques when
funds have been cleared. On completion of the job, the remaining
50% of the fees will be invoiced for payment within 5 working
days.

the Redesign Service?
Redesign functions are much like styling however the focus
is on creating a warm inviting style that is specific to your
tastes and personality.
